What is InsureIQ?

InsureIQ is India's first family financial safety diagnostic tool. It gives you a Family Safety Score from 0–100 based on your income, family size, existing insurance, loans, and savings.

It is not an insurance company. It does not sell insurance. It earns no commission from any agent or insurer. Everything InsureIQ tells you is based only on your data.

How do I take the assessment?

  • Download InsureIQ from the App Store.
  • Enter your phone number and verify with OTP.
  • Answer the assessment questions honestly — it takes about 8 minutes.
  • Your Family Safety Score is calculated immediately and shown on your home screen.
  • The full report with rupee figures and recommendations requires the Basic plan (Rs. 349).

What does the score mean?

  • 0–30 — Critical gaps. Your family has significant financial vulnerabilities that need immediate attention.
  • 31–50 — Needs attention. Some protection in place but important gaps remain.
  • 51–70 — Moderate. You have a foundation but key areas need improvement.
  • 71–85 — Good. Well-protected with minor gaps to close.
  • 86–100 — Excellent. Comprehensive family protection in place.

Is my data safe?

Yes. InsureIQ never sells your data. We never share it with insurance companies, agents, or advertisers. Your assessment answers, policy documents, and personal details are stored securely and used only to give you your score and report.

Common questions

Do I need to pay to use InsureIQ? +
The assessment and Family Safety Score are completely free. The full 12-page report with exact rupee figures requires Basic (Rs. 349 one-time). Policy Vault, Claim Fighter for private insurance, and Family Emergency Access require Guardian (Rs. 1,299/year).
Is InsureIQ an IRDAI-registered advisor? +
No. InsureIQ is an educational and diagnostic tool. It is not a licensed financial advisor, insurance broker, or IRDAI-registered entity. Everything in the app is information to help you make better decisions — not advice that replaces a qualified professional.
Can I retake the assessment? +
Yes. Free users can retake once. Basic plan users get 3 retakes per year. Guardian users get 5 per year. Pro users get unlimited retakes. Retakes allow you to track how your score changes as your situation improves.
Does InsureIQ work for NRIs with parents in India? +
Yes. InsureIQ is designed for exactly this use case. You can complete the assessment based on your parents' situation and share the Family UID with them so they can access emergency information even if you are abroad. The Emergency SOS feature works without internet login.
What languages does InsureIQ support? +
The app is in English. Ask AI responds in the language you write in — Telugu, Hindi, Hinglish, or English. Language detection is automatic.

  • Free — Assessment, Family Safety Score, govt scheme preview, Claim Fighter for govt schemes, Emergency SOS.
  • Basic — Rs. 349 one-time — Everything free, plus the full 12-page Family Safety Report with rupee figures, action plan, Ask AI (10 questions/year).
  • Guardian — Rs. 1,299/year — Everything Basic, plus Policy Vault (up to 3 policies), Claim Fighter for private insurance, Family Emergency Access, Emergency SOS with your real policy details, Ask AI (20 questions/day).
  • Pro — Rs. 2,499/year — Everything Guardian, plus unlimited Policy Vault, unlimited Ask AI, WhatsApp human support, human claim document review, and priority grievance escalation.

How do I pay?

Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. When you tap to upgrade, a Razorpay payment page opens in your browser. Complete the payment and return to the app. Tap "I have paid" — InsureIQ verifies your payment and activates your plan immediately.

We accept UPI, debit cards, credit cards, and net banking.

My payment went through but the plan did not activate

This can happen if the app did not detect the payment. Try these steps:

  • Close and reopen the app completely.
  • Log out and log back in with your phone number.
  • If the plan still shows as free, email us at hello@getinsureiq.in with your phone number and the Razorpay payment ID — we will activate manually within 4 hours.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are not provided once a report has been generated or a plan has been activated. If you have a payment issue — such as a double charge or a charge without plan activation — contact hello@getinsureiq.in within 48 hours of purchase with your Razorpay payment ID.

How do I cancel my Guardian or Pro subscription?

Email hello@getinsureiq.in with your phone number and request cancellation. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. We will not charge you again after cancellation.

How do I delete my account?

Email privacy@getinsureiq.in with your phone number and request deletion. We will delete all your data — including assessment answers, report, and policy documents — within 7 business days.

I switched phones — how do I restore my data?

InsureIQ uses your phone number as your account. Simply log in with the same phone number on your new device. Your assessment, score, report, and vault policies will restore automatically.

I did not receive my OTP

  • Check that you have mobile signal or an active internet connection.
  • OTPs can take up to 60 seconds to arrive. Wait before requesting again.
  • Check if your number is registered on the DND (Do Not Disturb) list — promotional SMS may be blocked. OTP SMS uses transactional routes but some carriers may still block it.
  • Try requesting the OTP again after 60 seconds.
  • If the issue persists, email hello@getinsureiq.in with your phone number.

The app is slow or crashing

  • Force close the app and reopen it.
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection — InsureIQ requires internet for login, report generation, and AI features.
  • Check if an update is available on the App Store and install it.
  • Restart your phone.
  • If the issue continues, email hello@getinsureiq.in with your device model and iOS version.

My PDF upload failed or was not parsed correctly

  • PDF must be under 10MB. Compress large files at ilovepdf.com before uploading.
  • The file must be a text-based PDF, not a scanned image. Scanned documents may parse with low confidence.
  • If parsing failed, you can still enter policy details manually using the manual entry option.
  • Parsing typically takes 15–45 seconds. Do not close the app during this time.

My report did not generate

  • Report generation requires a stable internet connection and takes 30–60 seconds.
  • If it timed out, try generating again — tap the report section from your home screen.
  • Ensure your assessment is complete before generating a report.
  • If it fails repeatedly, email hello@getinsureiq.in.

Ask AI is not responding

  • Check your internet connection.
  • Free plan users do not have access to Ask AI — upgrade to Basic for 10 questions per year.
  • Guardian users have a 20-question daily limit. The limit resets at midnight.
  • Basic users have a 10-question annual limit.
  • If Ask AI is still unresponsive with an active plan and connection, email hello@getinsureiq.in.

Emergency SOS is not showing my TPA details

Emergency SOS reads your TPA details from the Policy Vault. If you have not added a health policy to your vault, TPA details will not be available. To fix this:

  • Go to Policy Vault and add your health insurance policy (Guardian plan required).
  • Upload your policy PDF or enter details manually — ensure the insurer name is entered.
  • Return to Emergency SOS — your TPA should now be detected automatically.

Minimum requirements

  • iOS — iOS 13.0 or later. iPhone only. iPad is not currently supported.
  • Internet — Active internet connection required for login, report generation, AI, and policy parsing. Emergency SOS cached data works offline after first load.
  • Storage — At least 100MB free storage recommended.

Before you write to us

Most issues can be resolved quickly. Check these first:

  • OTP not received — wait 60 seconds and try again.
  • Plan not activated after payment — close and reopen the app, then log out and back in.
  • PDF not parsing — ensure file is under 10MB and is a text-based PDF.
  • Ask AI not responding — check your daily or annual question limit.
  • Score seems low — the score reflects honest gaps. Read your full report for what to do next.
